Scientific Program

PSA-07 is focused on the surface chemical analysis standardization, applications, and related topics.Oral sessions are classified into theory/simulation, data analysis, and applications. One remaining feature throughout the PSA series of symposia is the short presentations by poster presenters. The best poster presenter will be awarded the Powell Prize by voting among all the participants. The Powell Prize has been granted annually since 1995 in both international and domestic PSAs. We plan a session commemorative of one decade of the Powell Prize.
The 6th Korea-Japan International Symposium on Surface Analysis, particularly for the practical applications, will be held in conjunction with PSA-07 by representatives from Korea and Japan. All the participants are invited to join the session of Korea-Japan Symposium.
Japanese VAMAS/TWA2 activity workshop will be held from November 29 to December 1 following PSA-07 at the site of ISO/TC201 plenary meeting (Kanazawa Bunka Hall).

The subjects will cover all the topics listed below:
  1. Standardization/Pre-standardization (oral/poster)
  2. Theory/Simulation (oral/poster)
  3. Data analysis (oral/poster)
  4. Novel techniques (poster)
  5. Instrumentations (poster)
