November 18-19, 2002
International Conference Center Hiroshima
Hiroshima, Japan
|
Organized by Korea Vacuum Society & Surface Analysis Society of Japan
This symposium is supported by a grant from Electric Technology Research
Foundation of Chugoku.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, and the Surface Analysis Society
of Japan, we welcome you to participate in the 4th Korea-Japan International
Symposium on Practical Surface Analysis (4th KVS-SASJ).
The scope of the 4th Korea-Japan International Symposium on Surface Analysis
covers various surface analytical techniques. Especially, this symposium
is focused on the practical applications of surface analytical techniques
such as Auger Electron Spectroscopy, X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy,
Electron Probe Micro-Analysis, Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry, etc.
We will encourage the contributors on the standardization for surface chemical
analysis, practical applications to materials or processing, reference
materials, data processing, and data transfer, new instrumentation and
techniques, and fundamental of surface analysis.
We hope that symposium will be also a forum to make a mutual friendship.
Three symposia (Seoul, Matsue and Kyong-Ju) were successfully held in every two year and gave opportunities for the
contributors from all over the world, especially Korea and Japan, to get
together with. Every scientist, researcher and engineer, who is interested
in these fields, is welcome to join the symposium. We hope that this symposium
will give a benefit for participants and an opportunity to improve the
international activities of the surface science.
The official language at the symposium is English. The Conference Proceedings
will be issued in a special volume of Journal of Surface Analysis.
Hiroshima is a middle-sized city located in the west part of Japan, and
faced to the beautiful Seto Inland Sea. You can easily access Hiroshima
from Hiroshima Airport Kansai International Airport or Fukuoka Airport.
Seto Inland Sea has been an important root for a trading and cultural exchange
between Korea and Japan. There is an Itsukushima shrine known as World Cultural in the sea.
We hope you will enjoy beautiful autumn and the delicious food during the
stay.
We look forward to seeing you in Hiroshima.
